Amy Uyeda holds a BFA from Queen’s University and has been an artist member of Open Studio since
2010. During that time she has consistently volunteered and exhibited in Open Studio fundraising
exhibitions. Amy has interned at artist-run centres A Space Gallery and Modern Fuel, Kingston as well as
the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery. She has printed outside of Toronto at Glasgow School of Art,
St. Michael’s Printshop, Gravity Press, Massachusetts and in Matsuyama, Japan. Recent prints have
explored the architectural and natural landscape of Japan. A dedication to mastering the art of lithography
is what drives her work.
