“My recent work reflects an interest landscape and architecture first enjoyed in my travels. The imagery often imposes a symbolic overlay on the data of experience in order to shift and sometimes deepen the mood of the work. The Japanese woodblock print medium offers a beautiful marriage of Japanese paper with water based pigments and is endlessly fascinating in the variations it offers.” Elizabeth Forrest is a graduate of York, The Ontario College of Art and carried out university level research in Japanese woodblock print in Kyoto, Japan. An experienced artist/printmaker she has exhibited nationally and has work in both Canadian institutional and corporate collections.
