Fatima Garzan is a Kitchener-based artist. She holds a degree in Economics from the National University of Iran and a Fine Arts degree from the University of Waterloo. Her work has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada and Iran, and is included in the Canada Council Art Bank and The City of Kitchener and various private collections.

Fatima has been selected to be the Artist in Residence (AiR program) 2017-2018 in Salt Spring Island, BC. The program is sponsored by the Salt Spring Arts Council to provide artists with the time and space for creativity and productivity, introducing visiting artists to Salt Spring and its artistic communities, productive collaboration and networking of Salt Spring Island artists with visiting artists, offers the SSI community diverse engagement opportunities and enhance the potential and impacts of community arts engagement to provoke, and nurture youth, and act as economic stimulus.
