Artist Talk & Open Portfolio Featuring: Rokeya Sultana
On April 25th at 2pm, Rokeya Sultana, a current Fulbright Scholar, and Professor in the Visual Arts faculty, and Chair of the Printmaking department at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, will present an artist talk and show her work in an open portfolio format. She will discuss the themes in her practice as a female artist in a patriarchal society, and will speak to her research into alternative, non-toxic and low-tech printmaking processes.
