Open Studio’s 34th Annual Artist Proof Sale Fundraiser

Sale continues Friday, November 30 through Friday, December 21

Monday – Saturday, 11:00am –  5:00pm.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: This year we are asking artists to donate their print works to the Artist Proof Sale with 100% of the proceeds going back to Open Studio. Open Studio will happily issue a charitable tax receipt for the retail price of all donated print(s). Artists may donate 1 or 2 prints.

SUBMISSION DETAILS:

  • Open Studio invites contributions of artist proofs or monoprints for the Artist Proof Sale.
  • Artists can submit 1 or 2 donated artist proof(s) / monoprint (s). We will do our best to display both.
  • 100% of the proceeds from the Artist Proof Sale go to support the studio and its programming.
  • Open Studio will issue a charitable tax receipt for the retail price of donated piece(s).
  • All traditional print media are accepted. No digital work unless traditional media is incorporated.
  • Maximum paper size 22” x 30”. All works should be unframed, we will encapsulate them.
  • Works that are damaged (ripped, dented, smudged) will not be included in the sale.
  • Minimum selling price of $50, maximum price of $400. Work submitted must be priced in accordance with its current retail price (do not mark down a work priced at $500 to sell for $400).
  • Artists will be able to pick-up their unsold prints. Postage fees for works to be returned by mail must be covered by the artist.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

  • Prior to submitting your prints, you must complete the online submission form.
  • Please ensure that all submitted prints include a printed copy of the PDF version of the submission form attached to the confirmation email, to make it clear which submission the prints belong with.
  • E-mail an image of your submission to office@openstudio.ca.
  • Drop off your prints in person or send by mail. We are open Monday – Saturday, 11:00am – 5:00pm.
  • We have some handy packing instructions to prevent damage to your work in transit. Send work to:

  • Artists will be able to pick-up their unsold prints. Postage fees for works to be returned by mail must be covered by the artist.
