Project Space Proposal
Submission Deadline: November 2
Deadline: Monday, November 2, 11:59PM EST.
About & Eligibility
The Project Space is a juried exhibition space for which Open Studio artist members have the opportunity to apply to exhibit recent print work and related projects, both individual and collaborative. The Project Space welcomes experimentation and encourages artists to use the space as a testing ground for what print can be. Exhibitions and projects hosted in this space are rooted in the print process, or share its ethos (for example in exploring multiples, layering, combinations of print methods) but can also incorporate other media.
Exhibition scheduling is programmed to coincide with exhibition dates in the main Open Studio gallery. Artist members will also be given a $500 honorarium for exhibition assistance.
Please note that only current Open Studio artist members are eligible to be considered for the Project Space. Applicants must have been active artist members at Open Studio for a minimum of one year at the time of applying and have paid their current membership. Artist members must wait one full programming year before applying again to the Project Space.
Submissions will be juried and notification sent out approximately eight weeks from the deadline. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of the competition.
