Temporary Closure

Updated: June 4, 2021

To the Open Studio Community,

First of all, we want to thank you for your patience and support over the last year. This has not been easy for anyone. We are beginning to look ahead to a more open summer, and we have developed a plan that is in line with Ontario’s phased reopening. The office and galleries will remain closed until Phase 3, with shows beginning in September. Curbside pick-up for the shop will begin in Phase 1.

The studio will reopen in Stage 2 of Ontario’s reopening plan with 24/7 access. The studio will be available to book online in six-hour blocks of time and one person per area, with a maximum of five people in the studio at any one time. Masks will be required at all times and members responsible to clean and sanitize their areas, with staff doing additional cleaning throughout the day, Monday through Friday. There will be no visitors allowed in the studio during this stage and the kitchen will remain closed, but the rooftop patio at 401 is open and tables are set up to eat outdoors.

In Stage 3, the studio will be available for online booking at increased capacity and education will begin, both with capacity limits set per public health guidelines. Please see the reopening plan linked below.

We can’t wait to see you in the studio and galleries! Again, thank you for your patience and understanding.

If you have questions, please send us an email.

Stay safe and well,
The Open Studio Team
