Open Studio works with organizations that share our commitment to accessible, community-focused printmaking. We offer opportunities to use our studio, access equipment and resources, and develop programming in partnership with our team.

Venue Rental

Organizations can rent our professional printmaking studio for workshops, events, and other programs. Our fully equipped facility provides access to specialized printmaking equipment for independently led activities.

Collaborative Partnerships

We also work with organizations to develop and support projects through shared studio access, equipment sharing, and workshop facilitation. Depending on the project, partnerships may include studio use, equipment loans, program planning, instructor coordination, technical support, or co-developed workshops. Dorset Fine Arts

Connecting studios, artists, and communities

Open Studio and Dorset Fine Arts (DFA) have collaborated for nearly thirty years, fostering artistic exchange between artists in the North and the Open Studio community.

Inuit Artist Creative Residency

Through our partnership with DFA, Open Studio offers the Inuit Artist Creative Residency, a two-week residency for an Inuk artist from Kinngait Studios. The residency encourages dialogue and knowledge-sharing between the two print studios, creating opportunities for artists to connect, experiment, and exchange expertise.

Inuit Art Print Collection

Open Studio promotes Inuit prints from Kinngait Studios through the Open Studio Shop, both online and on-site. Sales are shared equally between Open Studio and DFA.

Established in Toronto in 1978, Dorset Fine Arts (DFA) is the wholesale marketing division of the West Baffin Co-operative (WBC). Based in Kinngait (Cape Dorset), Nunavut, the Co-operative has a longstanding history of supporting artists and creative practice in the community.
