Print Matters at First Canadian Place

November 19, 2018 – January 25, 2019
Opening Reception: Wednesday, November 21, 5:00 – 7:00pm

FCP Gallery, First Canadian Place
100 King Street West, Street level, Toronto   ON

Please join us at FCP Gallery on Wednesday, November 21 to celebrate the opening of PRINT MATTERS: Contemporary Printmaking from Open Studio. RSVP to fcpevents@brookfield.com.

Printmaking is incredibly diverse and encompasses many forms and techniques, including etching, lithography and screenprinting—to name a few. The works included in PRINT MATTERS offer a glimpse into the expansive medium of printmaking, and the scope of original prints created and sold through the Open Studio Shop.

PRINT MATTERS features works by long-standing Open Studio artist members including: Sally Ayre, Pamela Dodds, Jenn Law, Laine Groeneweg and Sadko Hadzihasanovic; artists who have completed our Visiting Artist residency program: Jaime Angelopoulos and Panya Clark Espinal; a collaborative print project, The Printmaker, featuring work by emerging printmakers: Victoria Day, Annyen Lam, Alex R. M. Thompson and Pudy Tong; and print work by Shuvinai Ashoona, which exemplifies Open Studio’s evolving relationship with Dorset Fine Arts and Kinngait / West Baffin Eskimo Co-operative to promote and facilitate printmaking in Inuit communities.

We look forward to seeing you!
