Pat Macaulay’s Sawtooth Red and Sawtooth Black are displayed in separate vitrines at Open Studio. Each work (76.25 × 39.50 in.) is composed of multiple woodblock prints on Kozuke washi. The sawtooth pattern, found in everything from textiles to vintage packaging, carries its jagged edges and repeating rhythm through both installations, while the use of print multiples adds another layer of repetition.
