In this Print Speak session: Screen Time – An Exploration of Personal, Professional and Politically Engaged Screenprinting, Jesse Purcell explores the techniques, applications and economics of his personal, professional and politically engaged print practice. The video also includes a tour of his studio and a survey of his multi-faceted approach to the medium, from the streets to the gallery, operating a press and working in a collective of socially engaged printmakers.

Jesse Purcell (He/Him) is a socially engaged artist and printmaker based in Toronto. He is a member of the continent-spanning Justseeds Artists’ Cooperative, and founder of Repetitive Press – Screen Printing and Design Studio, which focuses on providing hand-made graphic materials for cultural producers while working to support social movements.
